Overview

Keyword Blocker Pro is a Chrome browser extension that blocks web pages containing user-specified keywords, manages URL blacklists and whitelists, filters page content by removing images, videos, and iframes, and provides per-day scheduling and password-protected settings.

Data Collection

Keyword Blocker Pro does NOT collect any personal data. The extension does not collect browsing history, page content, personal information, IP addresses, device identifiers, cookies, or any other user data.

Data Storage

All user-configured data is stored locally on the user's device using Chrome's built-in storage API (chrome.storage.local). No data is ever transmitted to any external server.

Data stored locally on your device:

• Keyword list (text strings you enter)
• Blacklisted URL list (text strings you enter)
• Whitelisted URL list (text strings you enter)
• Content filter toggles (on/off values)
• Schedule settings (day and time preferences)
• Extension enabled status (on/off value)
• Keyword threshold (a number you set)
• Password hash (SHA-256 encrypted string, only if you set a password)

Website Content Scanning

The extension reads the visible text content of web pages to check for your blocked keywords. This scanning happens locally in your browser's memory in real-time. Page content is never stored, logged, or transmitted to any server. No page data is retained after the scan is complete.
